M.A. in Applied Linguistics / Diploma
( Two Years Full Time Course )
Programme :
The course was established by the department of Applied Linguistics as a programme offering a link between the study of Linguistics and the needs of teachers of second / foreign language specially English and school managers. The MA course offers the opportunity to work with experts from a wide range of specialties including Child Language Acquisition , Discourse Analysis , Language Theory and Description , Sociolinguistics , Psycholinguistics , Language Curriculum Design and Educational Management.
Entrance Qualification :
Minimum qualification of a BA with a 1st or 2nd division . Graduates with a Diploma in Applied Linguistics from a reputed University can also apply.
Teaching Arrangements :
Most courses are taught by a combination of lectures , Seminars , Workshops and Practical Classes including Simulations. Tutorial support is available from a personal tutor and from specialist lecturers for help with specific issues.
